Pets Without Borders
June 14, 2003
People aren't the only ones doing more traveling than ever before. Ask the animal you adopted about the places he or she has been - you might be surprised!
Sometimes they're moved from shelter to shelter - traveling across states to improve their chances of adoption. Sometimes they go to homes thousands of miles from where they were born. And other times... they simply get lost and need to hitch a ride!
Whatever the reason, pets are better traveled today than ever before. Are there controversies surrounding this modern way of life? Sure. Are there benefits? Absolutely.
This week's special feature is dedicated to our furry friends who, like many a human pioneer, will travel any distance, and search however far, for the promise of a place to call home.
